I am the exhibitions curator and shop manager of craftco. Recently, I’ve been teaching arts and crafts sessions for Suffolk Artlink. Drawing was my primary focus last year, as Artist in Residence at The William Alwyn festival of classical music, Southwold Concert Series and Ways With Words literary festival, plus drawing several weddings. I will be sewing decor for the Folk East festival again this summer. Previously, I was Artistic Director for the Village Stage at Womad. I’ve designed and made giant puppets of Romeo and Juliet, plus the Big Sky Queen and Elm Tree King, for Carnival Crossroads at UKCCA, as part of the cultural olympiad. I worked as a maker with Tin House and Norwich Puppet Theatre on a project basis, and was part of the team at Nutmeg Puppet Company for 15 years, as photographer and technician/puppeteer; with one highlight being Theatre in Residence at The British Museum in the ‘Tutu and the Sky Goddess’ show. I’ve made assemblage sculptures from wire and found objects for exhibition and commission. Diploma with distinction from Dartington College of Art and Degree 2:1 from Sheffield Polytechnic.
